2 Corinthians 4:18

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see last forever.

DEVO for the Day

Jesus Calling - Sometimes you make checklists for yourself to help you feel in control of your life. If I get an A, my parents will be proud of me. If I get the right clothes, then so-and-so will be my friend. If I can only… The problem is that there is never an end to these lists. If you check off one thing, two or three more pop up to take its place.

You won’t find real peace and security in the things of this world, because this world is imperfect and things don’t last forever. Only I am perfect. Only I am forever. So bring your checklist to Me. I will help you sort out what is important and what is not. Stay close to Me, and I will give you My perfect Peace.
