The Golden Ticket

The Golden Ticket is an annual presentation--a sort of "State of the Union" address--that communicates to the OCS family the current state of our school as it relates to our mission and what we anticipate for the future to remain #OCSStrong.
As a reward for parents' attendance, their K-12 children earn a "Golden Ticket" to be cashed in for a free day out of school, the elimination of a grade (with some restrictions), or for PreK and first graders, participation in a Spring Golden Ticket Fun Day.
Dates and times:
  • Tuesday, February 4: 8:00am, 12 noon, 5:00pm, or 6:30pm
  • Thursday, February 6: 8:00am, 12 noon, 5:00pm, or 6:30pm

If your form is lost or misplaced:
  • Bring the form to one of the meetings (one per family). The form will be processed, and the qualifying students' names will be added to the Golden Ticket list.
  • When the student is ready to redeem, he/she may pick up the ticket in the main office or administration office.
  • The student takes the ticket to the teacher in whose class he/she would like to drop a grade. Limitations exist on what kinds of grades can be dropped.
  • PreK through first-grade teachers will receive lists of their qualifying students and distribute in advance of the Spring Golden Ticket Fun Day.
