a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

This will be a MAJOR TEST grade. You have until Wednesday to turn it in to me. Think outside the box and really try to put yourself in the story and “deal” with the circumstances they had to! Write an essay with at least three paragraphs of at least 5-7 sentences. Within your essay please answer and explore the following questions:
Do you relate more to Vashti or Esther?
Are you easily able to make decisions for yourself or does finding your voice come a bit more difficult for you?
Do you agree with Vashti’s choice or do you have another option that may have worked better for her?
Do you agree with Esther’s choice and how she handled the situation with Xerxes or do you have another option that may have worked better?
Do you believe Vashti to be a feminist? Esther? Yourself?
Why is Xerxes and his stance towards women so offensive to 21st century American women? How would you seek to help him if he lived now?

3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Students need to copy down BY HAND the passages of Scriptures below. Using a journal or notebook is preferable to keep work together and organized. If attending school, students should bring journal with completed work to class for me to check. If distance learning, students need to submit CLEAR pictures of their notebook pages. PLEASE write legibly and label every day with the week and day (Ex: Week one, Day one) and the passage of Scripture (1st Corinthians 3:9,etc) PLEASE mark EVERY verse with the number and highlight it. This makes grading go much faster for me. An example is linked below as to how it should be done. Points may be taken if it is not done as asked. This will be a weekly assignment due every Friday. If we are out of school on a Friday, it may be due on Thursday instead.
