8th Grade Boys Bible-3rd Hour Assignments

We have been in a study regarding sexual purity and honoring young women as the pure creation of God as they are. Write a 300 word paper (This will be a TEST grade) in letter form to the unknown person that will date your future wife before you ever meet her.
Write your expectations as to how you want her to be treated and why.

Write a 400 word paper on how important it is that you help your 8th grade son be in Heaven one day.  What kind of habits do you need to form right now and continue to build upon and how can you do that?
What will be the priorities in your home one day and how will those priorities truly be seen?  Luke 9:25 says: "What does it profit a man if he were to gain the whole world but yet forfeit his soul?" Think and write about what it will take for you to help your 8th grade son get to Heaven.

Find a quiet spot outside (if internet allows you to) and complete the following paper on the Kami app

Most of you have used Kami in Mrs. Wooten's class. Use this paper for your Quiet Time one day this week and send to me by next Monday. Tomorrow afternoon, I will email you the link for our 8th grade class Zoom meeting that we will have Thursday at noon. I hope that each of you are doing well!

Type a paper of 200 words or more on “What I learned from the Courageous movie”

Write 150 words on about the most difficult task, project, job, etc. that you have done and what made it so hard and how you did it and what you learned about yourself from completing or not completing it. After that type a line through the page and type another 150 words or so concerning the hardest life challenge that you have been through and how you handled it.

Write a 100-200 word paper on the importance of a strong prayer life and what you have done or will intentionally do to develop a strong prayer life.

Write a 250 word paper discussing some goals that you have for 2021 in all areas of your life (spiritually, academically, athletically, anything) and what SPECIFIC things you need to do to reach those goals. What are some areas of your life in which you would like to improve as a person?
*when you are done, memorize Eph. 3:20-21

Create a Table of Contents page for your Gold Folder (Put the names of the papers that you have written in order on that T.O.C.)

Once the teacher says for everyone to get out a notecard, go ahead and write your memory verse for the day. Be sure to put your name on the card and turn it in.
Upon completion of the verse, type at least a 100 word paper discussing:
1) a time when you were shown mercy AND
2) a time when you showed Mercy to someone else.
*When you finish the assignment, spend the remainder of the time memorizing the Attitude Poem.

Type at least a 200 word paper on the impact of one’s attitude on life and how ones attitude impacts other people.

200 WORDS - 1 point off for every word short of 200 words. Use the verse, Proverbs 4:23, as your guideline for writing this paper and discuss what you think the world would look like if we all treated sin w/the same concern as the Corona Virus.

This is a major test grade that is Due 3 week from today (May 13). It needs to be at least 400 words and with much thought put into it. Write about things that you will intentionally do - should you have a son of your own one day.

When only 14 of you responded to this easy assignment, I figured that i did something wrong....and I did.
I now know to put things in the assignment portion and not just send a message out. For those who did this already, there is no need to do it again. For those who did not do this assignment, please respond by Monday at noon. Thanks and take care!

GOOD MORNING !
I hope that each of you 8th grade guys are doing well. When we let out for spring break, we didn't know that it would be extended so long. This "stay at residence" is a new situation for everyone in the world so we are all a part of something new in history. I realize that you are staying busy with school work in your other classes and I'm not going to overload you with anything but I do want to connect and find out what is going on with each of you and there might be days that I lay a challenge out for you.
First, just send me a sentence or two of what you did during spring break and what you have predominantly done the past week and a half since spring break. It can be similar to my account below.
For spring break, my family and I drove to Boone, North Carolina to visit relatives. We visited Samaritan's purse where my brother-in-law works and we were able to go snow skiing one day which was really cool because I had not gone skiing since my college days. Last week, I still went to school each day for about 4-5 hours each day and mowed or did stuff around the field house. Besides having my own four kids at home, my wife and I have been keeping her sister's kids that are ages 5, 4, & 7 months old so it has been busy around our house.
Finally, let me leave you with a verse from 2nd Corinthians 1:2 - "Grace to you and Peace from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ."
