School Begins 2020-21 Session

When the doors opened on the OCS campus Friday, August 21, smiles echoed in the eyes of masked (or gaitered) students and teachers, and laughter once again echoed through the halls.
As soon as the state of Louisiana cancelled classes in March, administration began to stitch together a plan for reopening school under all circumstances. Armed with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, Louisiana Department of Health, the Louisiana BESE Board and Department of Education, the campus was transformed to provide larger, cleaner, and safer spaces, and federal monies available were applied to associated costs.
The school established a 5-day, hybrid option, having students on campus on all weekdays and providing online services to those with health or COVID-related family needs.
