OCS Grandparents Day History
What started as an in-house event in the 1990s on the stage in the OCS gym has evolved into a professional-level, multi-day drama performance featuring OCS first, second, third and fourth grade choruses and fifth-grade actors/singers in a full-length play performed on a real stage at Jack Howard Theater in Monroe.

In line with the OCS mission, the goal of the Grandparent's Day program is always to nurture and grow our students’ God-given talents while encouraging them to shine the light that He placed inside them.
Through community performances and a special Grandparent's Day production, each year's play shares hope in Jesus and gives God all the glory for the opportunity to share His light with the community.
